Money in European football

Although I'm in Paris with some personal business and also attending as many tennis games as I can, I cannot overlook the Gill's interview in The Independent. Of course, it's all about the debt's of United :). Count also the UEFA decision about the financial health of the teams which are willing to compete in UCL and the reorganizations which took place at Stamford Bridge few days ago (should we think that is also a coincidence?). It sound that there are some preparations to enter in a new era of European football.

I believe that is the time to clear up some things in financing football teams around Europe. It's good and nice that some rich people are ready to spend their money on producing nice shows (football games) but this should follow some rules as paying hundreds and hundreds of millions of Euro just because "I can" it's not making football any more interesting. It could go to a ... sort of sport in which who is wealthier is also the winner. So, no point for having a Championship, right?
